NDFY. ME

• I was asked to create a design for a music event supporting indie bands all over the Phillippines. So i came up with this design, inspired from the imagery of the common symbol of freedom

   

  Rationale: I was inspired from the Melodious Babbler  (Malacopteron palawanense) ,It is endemic to the Philippines.Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and It is threatened by habitat loss. It is described to be very vocal but very shy and hard to see. What's wonderful about this bird is it can sing a 5-note rhythmic whistle. So somehow resembles the qualities of indie bands and musicians.( very shy, rare to find and very musical) so i used it in the drawing holding an electric guitar, similar to the dove with a laurel leaf on its beak.

Illustration i made for an exhibition in Hong Kong. The idea is to create our own design of album cover of our favorite band., so i chose The Tenniscoats since most of my works was inspired by their music. This illustration is based on one of their songs in the Tan Tan Therapy album titled "One Swan Swim"

Nasty Hills

Lately i've been designing new characters to complete Nasty Hills, an imaginary world i created under Nast design direction. In addition for my pin-up girls i also created few mystical guardian creatures, based on a dragon, a chimera, a stag and a unicorn. Can't wait to show everyone Nasty Hills but still needs alot of work haha. Cheers!

New series of Nasties i created while im on vacation, I enjoyed using black white and just used one color which is red, coz it goes along with black. Will be creating more illustration like this aside from the typical colored Nasties. Updating soon! Cheers!

Old illustration i made for an exhbition titled "The Theory of the Metaphysical Gravity". Basically the illustration is about love haha.. and yeah, i end up doing this..was so hungry while drawing this..so its a couple with a burger and pizza forming a heart.

THE MILLENNIUM MISFITS

I'm starting to love doing some comic style art after having a crossover project with ToysRevil. He asked us to recreate the characters he gave us and make it as our own characters. So this is the task and the outcome :D.

So right now, I'm so excited to join Comicon this coming October, will be having a collaborative project with Nelz Yumul of Wewilldoodle, maybe make some comics or a zine plus some live art i guess. So im really hoping to see you guys in Comicon haha...cheers!.
